Kevin Ray Whitehead, 53, Roan Mountain, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, as the results of an automobile accident.
Kevin was a CNA and was a caregiver to several people. He loved to work in flowers and decorate.
Kevin attended Roan Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Whitehead.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Johnson Whitehead; one sister, Rita Tolley; two brothers, Clifford Whitehead and his fiancée Judy King, and Roger Whitehead and wife Margaret; several nieces and nephews; and his special cousins, Robin Stewart, Angie Whitehead, Daren Lacy, Billie Chinault and Diane Johnson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 25, in the Johnson Roan View Cemetery with the Rev. Derrick Hughes officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, will be Darren Lacy, Rusty Estep, Andy Stout, Adam Johnson, Travis Whitehead and Coby Tolley. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to all the people he had cared for. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of his mother. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
