Cloudland students pass industry certification in Microsoft Word

Business students at Cloudland High School have been working with a program provided by a
Post-Secondary Education Expansion Grant.
The program provides training in The Microsoft Office Suite and prepares students to take the
industry certification exams correlated to the Microsoft Programs.
Students began working on the grant program this year, even in the midst of the pandemic.
Their instructor, Holly Houston, is proud of their hard work and dedication.
The class had a one hundred percent pass rate for the Microsoft Word industry certification and
is currently working on achieving the PowerPoint certification.
This industry certification also helps students achieve “Ready Graduate” status from the state of
Tennessee.
Carter County Schools have expanded the use of the program and are now offering the certification
to students at other county high schools and online.
