The American Rescue Plan recently signed into law included a portion that is significant to veterans that receive their health care at a Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facility. Copayments for medical care and pharmacy services provided by the Veterans Health Administration from April 6, 2020 through September 30, 2021 will be cancelled.
Additionally, any copayments already paid to the VA for these services between April 6, 2020 to present will be refunded. Copayment statements have been turned off but if you do receive a statement during this period please don’t make a payment.
I have had several requests for appointments in the evening or weekend for veterans that work. I will now be available for evening and weekend appointments as necessary.
