Ora Lee Bateman, 98, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021, at her home in St. Petersburg, Fla. Ora was born in Elizabethton, Tenn., on March 15, 1923 to Sally and Elmer Richardson.
Ora retired from North American Rayon Corporation and was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bateman; her sisters, Nina Eller and Lena White; and her brother, Bill Richardson
She is survived by her son, Ted Bateman, and daughter-in-law, Diana; her grandson, Stephen Craig Bateman; and beloved nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Eric Wright officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
