The third and final installment of the Class of 2021 Happy Valley Hall of Fame concludes in today’s edition.

Carl A. Roberts, Sr. (No Photo)
– Coached football for 40 years – elementary, middle (one year), and high school (one year).
– President of elementary’s booster club for two years.
– President of middle school’s booster club for three years.
– Assisted Coach Charlie Bayless and Coach Chuck Babb in painting gym.
– Coached basketball for 10 years.
– Helped coach baseball for two years.
– Helped to build the concession stand, press box, and field house.
– Marked football field for all games played at the school.
– Ran chains for Friday night football games.
– Helped install lights on the field.

Bruce Radford
– Graduated in 1961.
– Was not an athlete but the contribution he made to the Elizabethton National Little League and HVHS was unreal.
– Owned a construction company and utilized equipment to assist when needed.
– On Little League Board of Directors.
– Set lights on Lions Field with his equipment.
– Drew the plans for the field house, press box, and concession stand supervising the volunteers to make sure work was done right.
– Treasurer for the Booster Club.
– All sports lighting on all fields was due to his drive and expertise.
– A true Warrior.

George Pitts
Honored Enemy War Chief Inductee
– Teacher coach for 30 years at the high school level
– Six years as athletic director.
– Coach Pitts overall record was 820-211.
– Had only one losing season.
– Won seven state championships which are the most in boys TSSAA history.
– Won three state titles at Science Hill in 1990, 1994, 1995.
– Won four state titles in a row at Brentwood Academy from 2003 to 2006.
– Led teams to 15 district championships, 12 regional, and 12 sub-state championships.
– Coached King College for 14 seasons with a record of 299-133 with three NCAA Southeast Regional appearances and conference coach of the year three times.
– Serves as the Athletic Director for Providence Academy currently.
