Like the snapping of a finger or a short, lit match, the 2021 Elizabethton / Carter County Boys and Girls Club has seen its T-Ball and Coach Pitch leagues wrapped up on Tuesday evening as the championship and consolation games of the tournaments were played in both leagues.

It was a great season with kids looking to hit the field heavily as COVID-19 continues its decline in the area.

There were a total of 200 participants in both leagues which was very pleasing to the Boys and Girls Club Athletic Director Rik Anderson.

“We had 9 teams in T-Ball and 6 teams in our Coach Pitch league this year”, stated Anderson. “It was a tremendous year with each team showing great improvement throughout the season.

“We really had a great group of coaches this year and we appreciate the hard work and time they put into the season. The look of excitement and enjoyment on the faces of these kids as they play makes all the effort put into having a season worthwhile.”

Boys baseball and girls softball still currently have games left in the season which is scheduled to conclude by the end of June.
