Charlotte Kirk Fulton, 77, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at her residence with her loving family beside her. Charlotte was born in Knightdale, N.C., to the late Alonzo Winston Kirk and Hazeline Stevens Kirk.
Charlotte was a housewife and a wonderful wife, daughter, and grandmother. She attended Unaka Baptist Church and Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She had worked at Pete’s Hardware and also at Ashworth Drug Store, both in Cary, N.C. She loved working with miniatures.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memories include her husband of 55 years, John Fulton, of the home; her daughter, Heather Youngblood and her fiancé, Dale Trombley of Greeneville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, John Youngblood, Emma Youngblood (Ryan Renner) and Lily Youngblood, all of Greeneville, Tenn.; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Renner of Greeneville, Tenn.; her sister, Mary Tucker and husband Jeff of Apex, N.C.; a nephew, Neil Tucker and wife Allie of Lillington, N.C; a great-nephew, Jackson Tucker of Lillington, N.C.; and a great-niece, Grace Tucker of Lillington, N.C. Also, her special cousins, Laura Whitley of Mountain City, Tenn., and Janie Corbett of Smithfield, N.C.
A memorial service for Charlotte Kirk Fulton will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 8, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Walker Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643 in honor of Charlotte.
