According to a release from the Carter County Sheriff’s Department, deputies are searching for 65-year-old Thomas Hastings, who went missing from Laurel Highlands Road in Roan Mountain. He was last seen on July 1, wearing a gray NC State sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. Hastings is approximately 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. He may be experiencing dementia. If anyone sees Mr. Hastings, we’d ask that they call 911.
