New Liberty Free Will
The Rev. Rusty Verran will preach Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. He will include his personal testimony with a recount of his recovery from COVID-19 which included extended hospitalization and a lengthy healing process which is still ongoing.
Pastor Nick Colbaugh invites everyone to attend in support of Rusty and his family.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country style breakfast Saturday between 7 and 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits and gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7 and the public is invited.
Roan Park Baptist
Roan Park Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, will have a Son Treasure Island Vacation Bible School July 25-29. Times for the Vacation Bible School are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
All children are invited.

Elk River Baptist
Elk River Baptist will have homecoming Sunday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m. Following the service, a covered dish meal will be served.
The public is invited to attend, worship and celebrate with the congregation.

Calvary Baptist
Revival will be held July 26-28 at Calvary Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, with services each evening at 7 o’clock.
The evangelist will be Brother Allen Laws.
The pastor is the Rev. Tull Oaks.
The church is located one mile above Roan Mountain State Park.
Lynn Valley Baptist
The free clothes closet at Lynn Valley Baptist Church will be open to everyone today, July 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. Persons are invited to attend and get back-to-school supplies.
Oak Grove Christian
The Maggie Kyte Circle of Oak Grove Christian Church will sponsor a sale on Saturday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the church pavilion, located at the corner of Powder Branch and Jim Elliott Road.
Items offered will be fresh baked goods, new handiwork and craft items, and many garage sale bargains. Gently used baby clothing will also be available.
All proceeds will be used to support several missions in Elizabethton/Carter County as well as in India and Africa.

Roan Street Free Will
The Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have in-door services Sunday with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. The message will be presented by Terry Barnett.
Everyone is asked to wear a mask upon entering and exiting the building.
The public is invited.
First Presbyterian
An in-person worship service will be held Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St. The message will be presented by Amber Athon. She will use the text II Kings 4: 42-44 and Psalm 145: 10-18.
The Sunday morning worship service will also be online.
Youth and Adult Forums, Wednesday Meditation and Thursdays With Jesus will all meet online this week.
Fish Springs Baptist
Joyful Noises will present special singing Sunday, July 25, at 6 p.m. at Fish Springs Baptist Church.
