Diana B. Marchant, 71, of Johnson City, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Washington County, Va., to the late Eugene H. Ballou and Josephine Doyle.
Diana worked in health care for many years. She was loving, caring, and loved Jesus, her animals and her church. She was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church, Elizabethton, for over 17 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, President Donald Trump, sewing and working in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shelia Warford.
Those left to cherish her memory include her niece, Lisa Crowder of Johnson City; great-niece, Elizabeth Oliver of Jonesborough; and great-nephews, Justin Hall and Nicholas Hall. Several other extended family members also survive.
A service to honor the life of Diana B. Marchant will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, August 8, at True Gospel Baptist Church, Elizabethton, with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Music will be under the direction of the church. The family will receive friends at the church between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Johnson City Medical Center for all their loving care and support during this difficult time. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to True Gospel Baptist Church, 1028 Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
