Lena Sue Pierce, 63, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Frances Potter. Lena worked for Dentsply Sirona. She was of the Penecostal Faith. Lena loved to help others. She always put everyone else ahead of herself. Lena loved Jesus with all of her heart and loved doing his work.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael Pierce, of the home; her son, Brian Pierce and wife Jennifer; one brother, Steve Potter of Johnson City; and two sisters, Nancy Dugger and Joan Caudill, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. A graveside service and committal will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 26, in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery, Elizabethton, with Rev. Marvin Slagle officiating. Active pallbearers will be Daniel Arnett, Kevin Crow, Christopher Dugger, Justin Pierce, Kevin Campbell, Lynn Pierce and Eric Pierce. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 9:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
