Joseph Carter Stout, 67, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away at his home on Friday, August 20, 2021. He was born and raised in Elizabethton where he attended Elizabethton High School and where he also retired from Snap-On Tools. His mother was Patricia Grindstaff and his father was a Navy veteran, Sam E. Stout.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Stout; three brothers, Terry Grindstaff, Jack Stout and Kenny Grindstaff; his daughter, Patricia Stout Myers and husband Jason Myers; his son, Stacey Stout and wife Lisa Stout; his grandson, Dayton Myers; and his lifelong friend, John Blackburn.

Joseph enjoyed watching football, basketball and his favorite baseball team — the Braves. He loved going fishing and being outdoors and metal detecting. He was a loving father that will be truly missed as he starts his beautiful journey in Heaven with the Lord.
