Elizabethton and the surrounding areas in Carter County are a fantastic place to live, with great people, great places to eat, and great local businesses.

With that being said, Elizabethton just became an even better place, as one local member of the community has opened up a new business for those with an interest in music.

Hayley Jarnagin, a member of the community, has recently opened B & C Music, a place where those who are passionate about music can come and receive music lessons at a price that is affordable and hassle-free.

A spokesperson for B & C Music expanded on this point, saying, “At a point and time, we have all had things going on in life where money is tight and not where we would like to be. Private tutors and instructors are usually expensive, so the goal is to make music affordable for anyone interested.”

The name of the business is a unique one, as it represents two very important people in the life of Jarnagin.

The B in B & C is in remembrance of a good friend and someone who served as a mentor to Jarnagin in music and in life, Brittany Eggers. The C also has a similar meaning, as it reminds Jarnagin of her grandmother, Charlotte Pruitt, a singer in a known Southern Gospel music group by the name of the “Singing Pruitt’s.”

The dedication to these two people further add on to the selfless acts that this business hopes to promote by giving anyone access to music lessons, regardless of any situation.

The music lessons are open to everyone at the moment, and the idea of special sessions such as one for small children or elderly people with diseases such as dementia can enjoy themselves with the sound of music are something that Jarnagin is working toward.

The business will be having an open house for anyone interested in stopping by and checking things out on September 10 from 4 until 8 p.m.

B & C Music is located at 707 East Elk Avenue in Suite 1 in Elizabethton, and those who are interested or have any questions can reach out to the business by calling (423) 609-8718.
