ARM Food Pantry will be holding two fundraisers in September. The amount raised from both of these events will be matched by Modern Woodmen of America.

The first is a drive through Pancake Breakfast on September 11 sponsored by Applebee’s at Applebee’s in Elizabethton. The breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, syrup, butter and coffee or juice. The price is $5 and tickets can be purchased from board members or at the drive through that morning. 

The second fundraiser is a yard sale sponsored by First Presbyterian Church in their parking lot at 119 W. F St., Elizabethton. The sale will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25. If you would like to donate items for this sale, call Liz Banks at 543-0578. Items will be received the week before the sale. This has been a great sale in the past and is worth investigating. 

ARM Food Pantry is located at 714 W. C Street in Elizabethton, behind Ingles. They are supported by United Way Agency and Second Harvest. They also receive funds from area churches, businesses, individuals, schools, grants and fundraisers. In addition to food from Second Harvest, they also receive food from Walmart and Sams Club. They run as a drive through and are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They are closed for lunch from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Call 543-0919.
