Troy Anthony Cook Sr., 57, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was born September 16, 1963 in Hampton, Va. He had lived in Elizabethton 27 years.
Troy was a graduate of Hampton High School, Hampton, Va. He was owner of B & T Auto Repair. He loved to camp, fish and loved to go boating.
Troy enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and woodworking. He was a member of CrossPointe Baptist Church, Elizabethton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Patrick Cook Wade.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Godsey Cook; a son, Troy A. Cook Jr., Elizabethton; three step-children, Chris Hurt, Danielle Hurt and Cody Jones and Brandon Woodby; four grandchildren, Ryan Hurt, Alyrah Hurt, Autumn Cook and Anderson Jones; his father and step-mother, Tony and Ruth Cook, Timberlake, N.C.; two brothers, Tony Cook and wife Lisa and Carl “Dougie” Cook, all of Hampton, Va.; one sister, Teresa Cook Evans and husband Don, Hertford, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Mary Lee Godsey, Watauga; and his special friends, John Colbaugh, Tommy Trivette Sr. and Johnny Bays.
