The East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy’s 17th annual golf tournament is fastly approaching and now is the time to make plans to come out for a fun day of golf and to help raise monies to assist with the operational expenses of the residential and educational programs that are provided to adolescent girls who can benefit from an enhancement of their life experience.

Slated for Saturday, October 9, 2021, the golf tournament will get underway at 1 pm at the Elizabethton Golf Course. The tournament is a two-person select shot tournament and will begin with a shotgun start.

“This is one of the larger golf tournaments each year and we have to thank the community for that,” said Ron Marvel who serves along with his wife, Melissa, who serves as ETCHA Director of Development/Services.

“These funds are so important to our ministry they allow us to help children and families, here locally.”

Currently, Marvel is reaching out to the community for help with hole sponsorships which are $325. For the sponsorship, one two-person can play at no additional cost.

Other players for the sponsor will pay $70 for individual registration fees.

Previous golf tournaments have gone a long way in helping to offset the differences between donations and expenses and Marvel is expecting the same results in 2021.

The tournament this year is being played in loving memory of William Scott Ramsey and is for players of all skill levels as a new Junior Division has been added for kids 14 years of age and under.

Sponsored in part by Trinity Marble and Granite, the community can also sponsor carts that will be used in the tournament.

Registration and information is just a phone call away by calling the Marvels at 423-542-4423 or 423-895-0122.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit the ministry at ETCHA.
