Al-Anon “Free To Be Me” will meet at 6 p.m. at 413 E. Elk Ave., Elizabethton.
“New Way of Life,” a 12 step based, Open Recovery Meeting, will be held at noon at 413 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

The Green Pastures Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 8 p.m. at 413 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton.
• Saturday, October 23
The Second Annual Marcy’s Law Workshop will be held starting at 4 p.m. Topics will include victims rights and legislation, plus equine activity demonstration (an outside activity), followed by discussion. All law enforcement, victims groups, all areas of counseling, and elected officials are welcome and encouraged to attend. There is a limited number, so please rsvp as soon as possible, online at Overmountain Republican Women (fb) or juanitacmckinney@gmail.com. Directions will be provided. This event is hosted by At Wit’s End Center of Equine Experience, sponsored by Overmountain Republican Women.
The Carter County Democratic Party will meet at 6 p.m. via Zoom because of the current COVID outbreak. The meeting will be open to the public. The link is posted on Facebook and is emailed to members. This month, members will be discussing the Women’s March Oct. 2 as well as other party issues. All Democrats are invited to participate in the meeting.

The Green Pastures Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 8 p.m. at 413 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton.
• Monday, October 25
Roan Mountain Lodge #566 F.&A.M. will meet in stated communication at 312 West Street at 7 p.m. All members in good standing are encouraged to attend and visiting brethren are welcome. Social distancing guidelines will be followed — 6′ rule — and masks are asked to be worn because of the rise in local COVID-19 cases. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) will meet at First Baptist Church, 212 East F St., Elizabethton. Weigh-in begins at 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. Carter Democrats are invited to a joint meeting of the Democratic Women’s Club, the Democratic Party Executive Committee, and all interested Dems, to make strategic plans for the coming year. The meeting will be held at Dino’s Restaurant, 420 E. Elk Ave., starting at 6 p.m. Come early if you want to order dinner — the group will have the room from 5 p.m.

Due to COVID restrictions, the Elizabethton Moose Lodge will be having a Halloween trick-or-treat drive-through for the kids from 2 until 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Bristol Show Palace will host a Halloween Party at the Eagles on Stone Drive, Kingsport. The band Shooter will provide music. There will be prizes and food and dance lessons will also be available.
