Glenn Dale Tolley, 49, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born November 7, 1971 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton to Sherman Dale Tolley and Phyllis Ann White.
Glenn went to Hampton schools. He married his soulmate, Marie Tolley, on October 14, 1996. He passed on their 25th Anniversary. He worked as a truck driver-trainer with Englander Transportation.
Glenn truly lived life to the fullest. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, and riding with friends and family on his Harley. He was loved by everyone that knew him. If you were having a bad day he would be the first to be there and put a smile on your face. His laugh and smile were contagious.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Barhite Tolley; his dad, Sherman Tolley and his step-mother, Patricia Tolley; his children, Paul Jenkins, Nichole King, Samantha Robinson and Amber Cunningham; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn King, Truman “Bryson” King, Alexander King, Mackenzie King, Aliyah Barnette and Harper Cunningham; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and his beloved road dog “Belle.”
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis White; step-mother, Gail Tolley; sister, Stacy Sherrill; grandson, Bentley Barnette; and several family members.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Thursday, October 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. It was his wish to be cremated following the service.
