Clarence Marvin Bowman (Stretch), 80, Elizabethton, left this broken world to his forever heavenly home on Saturday, November 20, 2021, after several years of failing health. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Bowman; two sisters, Edra Pauline McNutt and Mary McDavid; one brother, Charlie Mac Bowman; and an infant brother, Tony.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda Bowman; ‘daughter’ Christina Harrison (Randy) and her brother Daniel (Amina), and special nephews Jack, James, Bill, Ezra, Tom and Lawton. He also leaves many other nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
Being the kind and loving man he was, he often said he had bonus kids as well (Parise and Tracy).
Clarence worked for TPI for 44 years and made many friends there as it was hard not to just love him. He loved NASCAR, fishing when he was able, taking long drives and watching wildlife and taking walks with his furkids and always seemed to find “treasures” to bring home from these walks. He was a gentle man with a heart of gold and will leave many sad in his absence. He loved all of his in-laws and had a special relationship with his mother-in-law, Bulah Snavely.
There will be a celebration of life reception at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Bowman family.
