Volunteers are needed for the winter event of the Keep Carter County Beautiful Adopt-A-Highway, which will be held Jan. 29 at 10 a.m.
Volunteers are asked to meet at 10 a.m. in the Happy Valley Elementary School parking lot. Trash pickup will extend from Milligan College to Powder Branch Road.
Those participating are asked to dress appropriately and bring gloves and water. Trash bags will be provided, along with grabbers and safety vests. Gloves and water will be available if you need them. The event complies with the CDC and TDOT guidelines. Social distancing, facial coverings, and wearing of gloves will be required.
Registration for the event will be held at the Keep Carter County Beautiful website: www.kccbtn.org. There is an Event page with a “volunteer” button to provide your name, email address, and the event for which you are volunteering. Additionally, a TDOT safety video is available to review before the event.
