Richard Anthony “Tony” Oaks, 64, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born September 25, 1957 in Elizabethton to the late Richard Delano and Mary Margaret Sommers Oaks.
Tony was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. He loved to read, listen to music, fellowship with friends and loved children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Beth Oaks.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Oaks and Jerry Oaks; three granddaughters, Hayleigh Oaks, Alaina Kieley and Gloria Oaks; and two brothers, Danny (Barbie) Oaks and David (Debbie) Oaks.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chris Shumate officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
