Jeanetta Branch Webb, 92, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Willie and Violet Williams Branch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Webb; a daughter, Kathy Webb; and a son, Kenny Webb.
Jeanetta attended Lees-McRae College where she received a Medical Records Librarian Degree. She then attended Milligan College where she received a degree in Education, and eventually received a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Elizabethton.
Jeanette loved animals and the UT Lady Vols. She cared deeply for her family and unselfishly never hesitated to do without so that she could take care of those in need.
Those left to cherish her many memories include her daughter, Kaye, and son-in-law, Chris Garland, of Elizabethton, and two grandsons, Sumner Garland of Knoxville and Travis Webb of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A private entombment service will be conducted in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home and to Amedisys Hospice for the love and care given to Jeanetta during her illness. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
