To the Editor:
It has come to my attention that the town of Elizabethton is proposing that the long running car show that has taken place every Saturday afternoon for many years is being asked to move or only take place once a month.
Not only does the Downtown merchants and restaurants benefit from this event, so does local children’s charities with more than $25,000 being donated this year alone. As a child that has benefited from these donations I am begging the City Council to reconsider this proposal.
