James Carroll Lewis, 72, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Greystone Health Care, Blountville.
A native of Carter County, he was born November 22, 1949 to the late Carl L. and Sarah Eleanor Sheets Lewis.
James enjoyed watching football games, NASCAR and fishing.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lewis, and two infant brothers.
Survivors include a daughter; a son; two grandchildren; a sister, Deborah Lewis; a niece, Kristian Bowman, Johnson City; a nephew, Joshua Lewis, Nashville; and two great-nephews, Elijah and Axel, Johnson City.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Jennifer Dugger and staff of Greystone Health Care and Amedisys Hospice of Elizabethton.
It was his wish to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Lewis family.
