Prepare for effects of disasters and Russia-Ukraine war

To the Editor:
Schools had to be shut down because of the flooding. This reminds me of the time years ago when a school was destroyed and seven lives were lost because of flooding in Carter County. Last year, Humphreys County in Tennessee had a record 17 inches of rain in 24 hours. This is the most rain ever recorded in Tennessee in a 24-hour period. The people reported the damage and deaths were increased because the creeks were full of trash.
These disasters prove we must keep creeks and streams free from trash and must prepare for all disasters. Besides preparing for disasters, now, we must prepare for the negative effects of the Russia and Ukraine War on our economy. Greater disasters are coming. Experts say every family should keep a full tank of gas, have a pre-planned meeting place, flashlights, batteries, first aid kit, duct tape and plastic sheeting. Experts say have a month’s supply of water, canned or non-perishable food and non-electric can opener.
Proverbs 30 praises ants as “extremely wise” for storing up many months of food. The book of Proverbs twice says, “A wise man forsees evil and hides himself; but the simple pass on and are punished.” It would be wise to have a year’s supply of food and water! BPA free bottled water not available at Walmart keeps the best. If you like Dr. Enuf in glass it keeps two years which is longer than most bottled water.
Also, it would be good to grow a garden as the sunshine benefits your health and what you grow is healthier. My grandparents did a lot of canning and I have eaten good food — a lot of good food.
Some food will keep over 100 years if stored properly and not opened. Those foods include canola oil, dry beans, honey, instant coffee, popcorn kernels, powdered milk, red wine, soy sauce, Spam, sugar and white vinegar.
In these end days the Bible teaches that disasters will increase. Things can change quickly and our government can’t protect us from everything and we should plan ahead and value preparedness.
Also, people need to prepare spiritually for death by trusting and having a saving relationship with Jesus. Call 1-888-need him. The most important preparedness or the ultimate preparedness is found only in Jesus.
Disasters can strike at anytime without notice. A world-wide famine is coming. Most countries have grown less food than ever because of fires, drought, floods and other disasters. More of the world is having wildfires and floods than ever before. Some of the western American states have had their worst water shortage in 1,200 years.
The Bible says that during the tribulation a day’s wages will buy a little bread for one person. One Christian dreamed of $70 for a gallon of gas in America during the tribulation. China is also working to crash the American dollar and destroy the American economy according to Kevin Freeman. China plans to take over Taiwan before the end of this year and plans to take over America before the end of 2024 according to Steven Ben-Nun. Ben-Nun says food and water shortages are coming to America.
Dr. Peter Pry says the greatest threat to America is destruction of the electric power grid. The electric power grid could be destroyed by an EMP from the Sun or from a nuclear bomb high above America or by terrorist or computer hackers. This would kill the majority of those in the cities from starvation. According to Clare Lopez, Iran has terror cells in the U.S. awaiting orders to strike as they did on 9-11. In 2022 the most likely target is New York City. One Christian said he saw 1,000 fires coming to New York City in the future. Evil demonic terrorists gave us 9-11, but only Jesus gives us peace 24-7. Things will continue to get worse in these end times. Birth pangs don’t stop until the child is born. The bad news is normal isn’t coming back. However the best news ever is Jesus is coming back!
Christians need to store up extra food to help others when disasters happen. The Bible says help first your families and churches. Christians need to share the gospel of how Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose, and is coming again. Christians don’t agree on when the rapture is but most agree it’s close. Some Christians believe the rapture is very possible on March 16-17, 2022, which is the feast of Purim or on June 5-6, 2022, which is the feast of Pentecost. Jesus could come any time but these are high watch dates. I think there are 24 time zones so it’s impossible to know the day or hour but the Bible says if you are watching you will not be taken by surprise. 2 Peter 3 says, “that there shall come in the last day scoffers, walking after their own lust and saying where is the promise of his (Jesus) coming?” Are you ready and watching for Jesus return or are you a scoffer? Watchers get a crown and get a trip to heaven and scoffers get to try to survive the seven-year tribulation. One thing’s for sure. “It won’t be as long as it has been.” I like what one pastor says, “see you at church Sunday the good Lord willing and the church don’t rise!” Even so come Lord Jesus!
