To the Editor:
Concerning the editorial by DD Nave in the STAR Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
Apparently, Mr. Nave does not read newspapers or watch the news, except maybe the Fox Network about the Russian attack on the Ukraine. Does he not know that Russia attacked a friendly country and is slaughtering men, women, and children by the minute. The Ukraine does not want to defeat Russia as he says, they want to be left alone and free.
Where Mr. Nave gets his quotes I only wonder. Apparently, he has a book of quotes that can fit any equation. Most of his sources I have never heard of except for the infamous Glen Beck. What a great source — Glen Beck.
I would ask Mr. Nave to watch the news to see the thousands, yea millions of the Ukrainian people who have had to flee their homes to escape the onslaught of Putin and the Russian army. Yes, there is a good guy and a bad guy in this situation. The Russians and Putin are certainly not the good guys, Mr. Nave. As I assume, a Christian, Mr. Nave says that the U.S. should be driven by “Nationalism and an American First Policy that serves only U.S. vital interests.”
Maybe you need to research WWII to remember what Nazi Germany did to Europe and would have done to the world if not for the intervention of the United States and their allies. Almost too late.
