Price & Ramey acquires Alexander Insurance Co.

As a result of COVID, in 2020 the Price & Ramey Group made the difficult decision to temporarily close its Elizabethton branch office due to reduced in-person client demands and to allow staff to safely work from home. However, for Price & Ramey, reopening in the Elizabethton community was never a question of if, but when.
With its acquisition of Alexander Insurance Agency, Price & Ramey Insurance Group is reaffirming its commitment to the Elizabethton area. Combining the Alexander Agency’s 72-year history with Price & Ramey’s 108 years of service in the Tri-Cities, a great legacy of quality insurance and customer service will continue in Elizabethton.
“Price & Ramey has been headquartered in Kingsport since 1914. We have enjoyed insuring and serving our neighbors throughout the Tri-Cities and the East TN region for over a century. After closing our Elizabethton location back in 2020, we are excited to finally get back to Elk Avenue,” states Linda Nichols, CEO of Price & Ramey Insurance Group.

The transition will occur slowly over the next few months, however, all Alexander Insurance Agency clients can expect that the same great coverage and service will remain.
