The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce is switching things up during the month of April, with their monthly member breakfast taking place at Elizabethton High School at 8 a.m. on April 21.
Chamber members will have an opportunity to see some of the unique programs the school offers and a chance to hear from teachers and students.
“We are going to be treated to a really great day in the band room,” said Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Joy McCray. “We will get to hear some great music from the illustrious Mrs. Debbie Gouge and her great team, as well as a great meal from the culinary arts department of Elizabethton High School.”
Participants will tour the school after the concert.
“They have got some really great programs, including a great STEM program and a great CTE program. Anything you would possibly wanna know with what’s going on at Elizabethton High School, this is the time to explore it and find out some new cool things that you could possibly partner with,” McCray said.
McCray said that those attending the breakfast should not arrive before 7:45 a.m., as buses will still be in the process of dropping off students. Those attending should park at the front entrance off of Jason Witten Way and Bemberg Blvd., across from Citizens Bank.
The deadline for pre-registration is April 19. For those who have visited the school and shown their driver’s license in the past six months, McCray said there will be no additional steps for entry into the school other than checking in.
For those who have not visited the school in the past six months, there are two options. Either email a copy of your driver’s license to Angie Peters at angie.peters@ecschools.net, or check in with your driver’s license at the school.
