Johnny Julius Holland Jr., 50, Hampton, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Collins House Group Home, Coeburn, Va. He was born October 7, 1971 in Carter County to the late Johnny Holland Sr. and Ruth Pritchard Holland Simerly.
He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Simerly, and a brother, Bernie Bailey.
Johnny was disabled since birth. He loved listening to music.
Survivors include his sister, Gloria Whittemore, Chuckey, Tenn., and a half-sister, Dorothy Derrickson of West Virginia. He loved his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Darryl Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Cochran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the caregivers of the Collins House Group Home, Coeburn, Va., for the excellent care he received.
