On Senior Night at Lady Cyclone Diamond, the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones played host to a gracious Hampton squad that helped saved the day for seniors Madisun Pritchard and Maddie O’Quinn after two other teams canceled out on Elizabethton.
It was a walk in the park for the Lady Cyclones softball squad as they scored an easy win over the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 12-0.
Pritchard and O’Quinn were two pitchers in a trio including Mollie Johnson that pitched a no hitter against a Hampton Lady Bulldog team that hasn’t found its swing at the plate in the last two games.
Elizabethton started the game out with three up and three down as Pritchard made short work of the Lady Bulldogs in the first inning.
Things didn’t improve for Hampton as Elizabethon went to bat.  Kenidy Harris smacked one over the left field fence for a home run while driving in two runs to put the Lady Cyclones up by three in the first inning.
O’Quinn singled in the second inning driving in a couple more runs after errors by Hampton to make it 6-0 going into the third inning.  She would later come in to pitch in the bottom of the third with consecutive strikeouts to end the inning for Hampton.
The Lady Cyclones kept finding the holes for base hits to tack on six more runs as Hampton would have no answer as the visitors fell to Elizabethton 12-0.
Maely Ingram went 4-for-4 on the afternoon with three runs batted in for the Cyclones. Maddie O’Quinn finished with a 3-for-3 outing with five RBIs while Harris, Ember Jensen, and Emma O’Quinn collected a pair of hits in the game.
Elizabethton recorded 17 base hits on the day.
