Local high school speech & debate team competes in state tournament

The HVHS Speech & Debate Team members competed in the State Tournament this past weekend with the following results.
• Andrea Hensley won 2nd place in Original Oratory.
• Autumn Earp & Alyssa Hensley were 9th in Public Forum Debate.
• Gracee Wolfe & Kaydie Blankenship were 11th in Public Forum Debate.
• Silas Jones was 7th in Extemporaneous Speaking.
• Nick Bailey was 11th in Extemporaneous Speaking.
• Gracee Wolfe, Scarlet Sparks, & Daisy Conley competed in Student Congress.
HVHS Speech & Debate Team is led by HVHS English/Speech teacher, Mr. Matt Wilson.
