To the Editor:
I have researched 1 Corinthians 6 in the King James Version of the Bible and the Message Bible. I find nothing supporting the use and abuse of the earth in either as suggested by in a recent Letter to the Editor.
In fact, it states the opposite. Besides, anyone who stops and thinks would know that it is illogical that if you abuse the earth to its breaking point, the temperatures will rise so that fish cannot live in the seas, plants won’t grow on the land, fires will destroy its surface, deadly pollution will incur, and starvation will follow the inability of the earth to grow crops. Ensuing floods will destroy animals and man, and I could go on.
The Native American was wiser than the white man as he believed you don’t overuse and abuse our earth and you return its bounty back to the earth to replenish it. God gave man dominion over the earth, but He never intended us to use it to the point of abusing it.
