The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday to celebrate Castle Defense.

Castle Defense is focused on teaching firearm skills to provide the confidence needed to be prepared for any scenario. Simunition rounds are used to create scenarios that mimic real life as closely as possible to allow students the opportunity to use and hone the skills that are learned in the classroom so that they will be more prepared if the unthinkable happens.

“We are excited to introduce Castle Defense to the community to offer high energy gun fights! It’s a great way for you and your friends to test your skills in a real-life shoot-out using non-lethal paint-tipped bullets. We also offer leading-edge firearms instruction and real-life scenario-based training in our built-out simulated home. We offer training at all levels and we can’t wait to serve the Tri-Cities community!” said Matthew Goldberg, Owner, Certified NRA Pistol Instructor, and Range Safety Officer.
