Lawson and Elizabethton’s McClaskey finish 18th at Saginaw Bay… Qualify for Bassmaster College National Championship

BAY CITY, Mich. – The King University bass fishing duo of Landon Lawson and Hunter McClaskey have qualified for another national championship. Friday, the tandem finished 18th at the Bassmaster College Series to qualify for the Bassmaster College National Championship.

THE BASICS
KING RESULTS: 18th of 189 boats
LOCATION: Saginaw Bay; Bay City, Mich.

HOW IT HAPPENED
– Lawson and McClaskey caught their limit on day one for a total of 16 pounds, two ounces.
– They caught their limit again on day two for a total weight of 17 pounds, 15 ounces.
– That gave the due a total of 34 pounds, one ounce and a finish of 18th.

FOR THE FOES
– Brian Linder and Nathan Thompson of Minnesota State-Mankato won the even with a total of 44 pounds, three ounces.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
– Lawson and McClaskey have now qualified for both the Bassmaster College National Championship and the Major League Fishing (MLF) College National Championship.
