William Bartlett “Bart” Graves, 61, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at his residence. He was born August 3, 1960 in Washington, D.C.
Bart was a graduate of Southern High School, Annapolis, Md. He had lived in Elizabethton since 2008.
Bart was a truck driver for Inland Sea Food of Atlanta, Ga. He loved fishing, playing golf, kayaking, and shooting his gun. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Graves; his maternal grandparents, Barney and Pearl Bare; his paternal grandparents, William and Anna Graves; and his uncles and aunts, Walter and Agnes Lewison and Jane and Wesley Branch. Many cousins also survive.
Survivors include his mother, Rose Marie Bare Graves; two sisters, Anna Marie (Steve) Barry, Stevensville, Md., and Katherine Lee (Gary) Matthews, Summerville, S.C.; four nephews, Jacob and Matthew Russell and Nicholas and Justin Lund; one aunt, Charlotte (Chick) Gagnon; and two uncles, Robert Bare and Harold (Beverly) Bare.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
