Richard Paul Blevins, 75, of Darlington, S.C., passed away on June 9, 2022. Richard was born December 2, 1946 in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late Delmar Paul Blevins and Mary Hodge Blevins.
Richard served his country faithfully, retiring from the U.S. Army, and served as a law enforcement officer with the Asheville Police Department for a short time.
He was preceded in death by both his parents; two sisters, Deborah Richardson and Sue Posey; and one brother, Mitchell Blevins.
Surviving are his wife, Rachel Blevins; son, Richard Paul (Laura) Riddle of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Eliza Riddle and Grace Riddle; brother, Timothy (Dong Hyang) Blevins of Ft. Deposit, Ala.; sister, Judy (Jackie) Whitley of Morganton, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Freddie Bradshaw and Sandy Bradshaw Cox; and his loyal basset hound Snoopy.
