A premature baby now a full-grown woman desires to give back to others as an example of making a difference in one’s life.
Taylor Condry has come a long way since living 19 years ago in a hospital intensive care unit surrounded by love and affection from her caregivers. She said survival odds at the time were against her. However, she is proof today that she was victorious.
Taylor is a candidate for graduation on August 11 and will receive a Licensed Practical Nurse diploma from TCAT Elizabethton after completing the 12-month program of study. “I want to continue my education and become a Registered Nurse and eventually an obstetric nurse,” Taylor said.
She is living proof one can make a difference in the lives of others. That is one reason she was selected to receive the $1,000 Hassie Murr Perryman Academic Scholarship. Hassie was an office nurse for Dr. E.T. Pearson at Ivy Hall Nursing Home, located at 301 S. Watauga Ave., Elizabethton.
