JoAnn (Malone) Allen, 67, of Bluff City, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Holston Valley Medical Center. JoAnn was born May 10, 1955 in Bristol, Tenn., to the late Ira and Anna B. Malone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Allen, and her brothers, Dallas Sams, Worley Sams, Buddy Sams, Ted Sams, Terry Sams, Ricky Sams and Curtis Malone.
JoAnn loved her grandchildren immensely. She was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church and was retired as a hair stylist. She loved gardening and loved her dog, D.J.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Jeff and Debbie Allen and David Allen; her grandchildren, Isaac Allen, Caleb Allen, Katlyn Allen and Trevor Guy; a nephew, Wayne and Wendy Sams and their son, Josh Sams; a niece, Patty Sams; and two cousins, Sherry Winebarger Reeter and Kathy Stout Blackwell.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton. A private graveside service will be conducted in the Jones Cemetery at a later date. Words of comfort can be sent to the family through our website, www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
