Several county schools will have new principals this year

Director of Carter County Schools, Dr. Brandon Carpenter, has announced new principals at several school locations for the coming year.
DR. JAKE JENKINS will serve as the Principal of Hampton Elementary. He graduated from Northeast State and E.T.S.U. with a Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Education. He earned a Masters in Education from Milligan College. Additionally, he earned an Ed.S Degree in Leadership and Administration from University of the Cumberlands, Ky., and a Doctorate Degree in Administration and Leadership from University of the Cumberlands, Ky.
Dr. Jenkins has 15 years of experience in the classroom and administrative roles. He most recently served as the Assistant Principal of Hampton Elementary.
KEITH PARKER will serve as the Principal of Happy Valley Middle School. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Gardner-Webb University. Additionally, he earned a Master’s Degree and an Education Specialist Degree from Union College. Parker has 14 years of experience in the classroom and three years in administration. He most recently served as the Principal of Valley Forge Elementary.
BRANDON YOUNG will serve as Principal of Valley Forge Elementary. Mr. Young earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Lees-McRae College in K-6 Elementary Education. He also holds a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Western Carolina University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Austin-Peay State University. Young has 22 years of experience in both classroom and administrative roles. He most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Happy Valley Middle School.
AARON DUGGER will serve as the Principal of Siam Learning Center. Dugger earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Lees-McRae College and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. Dugger has 15 years of experience in the classroom and administration and most recently served as the Assistant Principal of Unaka High School.
MIKE ENSOR will serve as the Principal at Unaka High School. Ensor earned a Bachelor’s Degree from E.T.S.U. in Education and Biology and a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Education from Lincoln Memorial University. He also holds an Ed.S in Leadership and Supervision from Union College. Ensor has 27 years of experience in both the classroom and administration. He most recently served as the Principal of Siam Learning Center.
