Robert “Bill” Street, 89, Hampton, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, in the Hermitage Health Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Cain & Belle Whitehead Street. He served in the United States Army and Marines during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Street was a retired Logger. He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed talking about the Lord, to his family and friends. He was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Cindy, a sister: Edna Hill and two brothers: Arnold Street and Jimmy Street.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years: Betty Chambers Street, One son & daughter-in-law: David Wayne ( Hope) Street, four grandsons: Nathan Stevens, Jacob Street, Hunter Perkins and Braiden Smith. Two granddaughters: Angie (Rickey) Ledford and Ashley Doty. Two great-grandsons: Jacob and Mason Ledford. One brother: Jack Street, his very special friend Paul “Big John” Smith.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Conkin, and Rev. Gene Carver officiating. Rev. Tyler Street will conduct the Graveside Service. Active Pallbearers will be Nathan Stevens, Braiden Smith, Jacob Street, Tony Street, Hunter Perkins and Joe Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Simerly, Paul Smith, Randy Hill, Ronnie Hill, Parker Street and Remington Street. The family would like to express a special thank you to Paul “Big John” Smith, Dr. Vivian Clark, Dr. Robert Walter and the staff of Hermitage Health Center for the excellent care he received.
