Vivian Rose Price, 74, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Vivian was born June 7, 1948 in Carter County to the late Hubert and Lillie Pierce Shepherd.
Vivian was a homemaker and was of the Free Will Baptist faith. She attended Piney Flats Free Will Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly.
Those left to cherish Vivian’s memory include her husband of 54 years, Louie C. Price; her sons, Louie Scott Price and wife Genna Price and Todd Dean Price and wife Laura, all of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Justin Price and wife Paige, Jason Price and wife MacKenzie, Katlyn Price, Ambria Price and Jasmine Price; her great-grandchildren, Hadie, Timber, Urijah and Everett; her brothers, Johnny Shepherd and Donnie Shepherd; and her sister, Glenda Collins.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Steve Waycaster and Jason Price officiating. Music will be under the direction of Jason and Justin Price. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 18, in the Patton Simmons Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Louie S. Price, Todd D. Price, Justin A. Price and Jason R. Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Katlyn Price, Ambria Price and Jasmine Price. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Victoria Shankle at Sycamore Shoals Hospital and the nurses of the Surgical Unit at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643 in memory of Vivian.
