Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
East Tennessee Spay & Neuter Signups has now moved to a new location; Alley Kat is located at 150 E. Elk Ave. A spokesman for the organization says the move allows an easier flow, more room and the business can now accept credit cards as payment with a small $3 service fee.
Did you know when animals are in heat or responding to, they run. They cause unnecessary car wrecks and accidents. Want less car incidents with animals at large? Then spay and neuter.
Did you know they fight other animals causing injury? And high vet bills that often led to surrendering pets. Want to reduce injury and unplanned vet bills? Then spay and neuter.
Did you know our county, like so many others, have so many unwanted litters! Litters are everywhere! Our shelter and rescues are full! We have so many unplanned and unwanted litters, so many neglected and diseased kittens and puppies. Want to stop endless litters and neglect? Then spray and neuter.
East Tennessee Spay & Neuter offers a low-cost option: All dogs are $70, which includes surgery, pain meds and rabies vaccine.
Cats, males (neutering) are $50 and female (spaying) is $65. Again, the cost includes surgery, pain meds, and a rabies vaccine.
Signing up is easy. Stop by the Alley Kat’s new location every Saturday between 10 a.m. – noon. Two transport methods are offered; our transport or self-transporting.
Our transport runs on the second Wednesday of each month, with limited space, so it fills up quickly. Drop off is at Tractor Supply between 6:15 – 6:30 a.m. Your animal must be secured in a hard sided, flat top crate. Pick up is at same location the following day at noon. You will receive a courtesy call the evening before.
Self-transport is a breeze as well. The cat or dog’s owner pays the cost for spay and neuter with ETSN and then calls Margaret B. Mitchell Spay/Neuter Clinic to set up an appointment. They’re located at 16222 Lee Highway, Bristol, Va., phone (276) 591-5790.
