Upper E-T Celtic Festival coming up next weekend at Tipton-Haynes

Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site will host the Upper East Tennessee Celtic Festival the weekend of Sept. 3 and 4. Events Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.
The 30th Annual Festival starts out at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with the Calling of the Clans, then on Sunday there will be The AHC highland games along with music by The Real Blarney Stoners and Cross Jack’s and a performance by the Appalachian Irish Dance Company. Also, there will be a competition by Everglade Academy and demonstrations and archery in the lower field by Tomm Fannon.
Also, the Appalachian Renaissance Fair will be present with its Knights and Fairies.
Lisa Snow will host the kids area with games and crafts.
The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children seven to 12 years of age. Children under seven will be admitted free.
