My First Book

I know I have said this before; my dream is to be a writer. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved making up stories. I remember I wrote a story about having no thumbs in elementary school. A girl in my class told the teacher that she bet I would grow up to write books. Then in college, I took a Creative Writing class. It was my favorite class. I did very well in it. But of course, life happens, work happens, and family happens. All of the beautiful things that I wouldn’t trade anything for put my writing on the back burner. I have no regrets, but I always knew a part of me was missing.
Then, the worst storm of my life happened. My husband of 18 years wanted a divorce. I was devastated. Lost. Broken. However, something good did come from it. I found refuge in writing. I lost myself in my story. I was creating hope and love and was in control of everything happening. It was a good feeling. My son, Dakota, even bought me a laptop to be able to write anywhere. The only thing he asked in return was for me to finish writing my book.
Nevertheless, life once again intruded on my writing time. I had to work a couple of jobs to be able to pay all the bills. Then, I met this incredible guy, Tim. He rekindled my love of writing. He inspires and encourages me every day. He wants to see me succeed. He is an author himself and has several books available. He is showing me the ropes. He also is going to be my husband come May of 2023.
God has blessed me so much that I only have to work one job now. I can turn my free time back to writing. I am currently working on a Christian suspense novel called Saving Faith. It is a mystery but hopefully also inspiring to anyone who reads it. It has many twists and turns and, of course, a little romance. But above all, I try to glorify God with what I have written. God has been so good to me. Everything I do, I want to point to Him. To His Grace and Goodness. So, be on the lookout for my first book. I hope you will be as excited to read it as I am writing it.
