Carter County Schools receive TVAAS Level 5 distinction

Carter County Schools is one of 41 districts in Tennessee to earn TVAAS Level 5 distinction for the 2021-22 school year. The Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAAS) measures students’ academic growth over time.
TVAAS helps educators identify best practices, implement programs that best meet the needs of their students, and make informed decisions about where to focus resources to ensure growth opportunities for all students.
Also, six Carter County Schools earned aTVAAS Level 5 School distinction for the 2021-22 school year. They included Cloudland Elementary, Hampton Elementary, Happy Valley Elementary, Happy Valley Middle School, Hunter Elementary, and Valley Forge Elementary.
Director of Schools Dr. Brandon Carpenter said, “We are honored to announce that Carter County Schools has been named a Level 5 District. The Level 5 distinction is defined as substantially above expectation and state average academic growth. This reflects the tremendous work ethic of our students, faculty and staff. The Level 5 distinction speaks volumes about Carter County Schools, our employees, students and our wonderful communities.”
