Bonnie Kate Theater hosts three big nights of jazz in Sept.

The Bonnie Kate Theater and Johnson City Jazz will host The Peterson Perkins Quintet Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 p.m.
This is the second round of Tuesday night jazz events at the Bonnie Kate. This is the first concert of the new series. The Peterson Perkins Quintet will play some of the old favorites as well as original music.
Tickets are $10.
Also, later in the month on Sept. 20 and 27, the second and third concerts of the jazz series will be presented.
The September 20 concert at 7:30 p.m. will feature the Noah Wise Collective and the Sept. 27 concert will feature the Will Boyd Band.
The Sept. 20 concert will feature the ETSU Jazz Combo is led by Noah Wise who plays Giant Steps Jamaica style. The combo features Santiago Gunidi on keys, Adrian Nunez on drums, Ben Loy on bass, and Noah Wise on guitar.
Will Boyd, who will play at the Sept. 27 concert is originally from Orangeburg, S.C., by way of Queens, N.Y. He currently resides in Knoxville, where he is a member of the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra and currently has two solo albums.
Among the many artists he has played with is Rick Simerly of Elizabethton.
