Dr. Jason Martin, Democratic candidate for governor, will speak at the Carter County Courthouse in Elizabethton at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19. Martin will speak about the many critical issues facing our state
After he completes his speech, Martin will visit local businesses and talk with voters on his walk to the Bonnie Kate Theater where he will tour the facility. Then he will share his views on strengthening nonprofits and small businesses at approximately 5 p.m.
Dr. Martin has served in the Nashville VA Medical Center, Meharry Medical College, and Nashville General Hospital, training the next generation of healthcare professionals. He is concerned that all Tennesseans have affordable health care.
Dr. Jason Martin and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Martin, have three daughters. They are raising their family with the values of hard work, family, faith, and community.
As parents, healthcare workers, and small business owners, the Martins believe that we should be working for the most venerable in Tennessee by, for example, expanding Medicaid, paying teachers a fair salary, and investing in education and job training.
