East TN Ballet Academy set casting dates for Nutcracker production

The East Tennessee Ballet Academy has set casting dates for the annual production of The Nutcracker, which will be performed December 17 and 18 at the Bonnie Kate Theatre in Elizabethton.
Casting is open to boys and girls ages 5-18 years old with both dancing and non-dancing roles available. There are two opportunities to audition — Sept. 18 and 19. Most rehearsals will take place on weekends beginning Oct. 1. There is a $100 production fee covering all costumes and rehearsals for The Nutcracker.
All area dance students are invited to participate. Non-dancers should come dressed for full range of movie members, and are asked to arrive early to warm up. Students 12 years and older should bring pointe shoes if on pointe.

The casting schedule is as follows:
SEPTEMBER 17: Ages 4-6 from 1 to 1:130 p.m.; Ages 7-9, 2 to 2:45 p.m.; Ages 10-13, 4 to 3 to 3:45 p.m.; Ages 14 plus, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
SEPTEMBER 18: Ages 4 to 6, 4 to 4:30 p.m.; Ages 7 to 9, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.; Ages 10-13, 5:25 to 6 p.m.; and Ages 14 plus, 6 to 7:15 p.m.
