First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, 119 West F St., will have both an in-person and online service Sunday at 11 a.m.
Rebecca Nunley will be the guest speaker for the service.
Adult Forum and Youth Group will meet in person and online.
Grace Baptist
Grace Baptist Church will celebrate its 81st anniversary Sunday with a combined service at 10 a.m. Dr. Gale Hartley will preach, and the Lord’s Supper will be served.
Following the service lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.
The church will have a trunk or treat on Oct. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. Those participating can register for the event at ElizabethtonGrace.com.
The church is located at 11014 Broad Street.
Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will host Dove award-winning soloist Joseph Habedank Sunday at the 6 p.m. service.
Dr. D. Alan King is pastor.
The public is invited to attend.
First Christian
First Christian Church, 513 Hattie Avenue, will have Trunk or Treat on Halloween from 4 to 5:30 pm. It will be a fun time for families in a safe environment.
Trunk or Treat will be set up in the parking lot across the street from the Elizabethton Police Dept.
First Christian has services at 9:45 a.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Wednesday.
New Liberty
The Rev. Justin Deaton, Pastor of East Side Free Will Baptist Church, will preach Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
At the 6 p.m. service, the Rev. Sam Ferguson, longtime area pastor who is currently retired from pastoring, will preach.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the services in support of the visiting preachers.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Fire Dept.
Mini-Preaching Conference
A mini-preaching conference sponsored by the Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will be hosted by Borderview Christian Church Sunday at 6 p.m.
The conference will feature the preaching of Ken Overdorf, minister of Range Community Church, and Jack Harris, minister, Downtown Christian Church, Johnson City.
Both of these preachers are a product of the Johnson University Class of 1961 and are extraordinary preachers in the pulpit. Both have been preaching for more than 60 years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
The chosen theme of the preaching conference is “Jump Start the Church,” which is planned to inspire the church to reach out to more people.
The service, which will last one and one-half hours, promises to be life-changing according to Scott Reynolds, event organizer.
Everyone is invited.
Borderview Christian is located at 1338 Bristol Highway.
Hampton Christian
Hampton Christian Church, 810 Deerfield Lane, Hampton, will have a fall festival Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Featured will be canned goods, cakes, pies, breads, fall and Christmas crafts, and hayrides.
Everyone is invited.
Valley Forge Christian
Valley Forge Christian Church will have Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. or until supplies last.
All children are invited.
