Margaret Johnson Whitehead

Margaret Johnson Whitehead, 79, Roan Mountain, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.  She was born January 3, 1943, in Carter County to the late Wilson and Texie Winters Johnson.  Margaret was retired from the  Banner Elk Glove Factory.  She loved gardening and her animals. She was a Missionary Baptist.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Whitehead and a sister: Frankie Woodby.

 Survivors include  Two Sisters: Grace Wagner, Hampton and Robin McKinney, Roan Mountain.  Two Brothers: Wilson Johnson, Jr., Roan Mountain and Jerry Johnson, Elizabethton. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.  Also a special friend: Glen of Roan Mountain.

 Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Babb officiating.  Burial will follow the service.  Pallbearers will be selected from nephews and friends.  Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Monday.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
